Can you believe it ? already 80 shows. So much music discovered, so many mixes (240 exactly... yeah 240 mixes). Seems insane how time flies and yet our scene keeps evolving, growing, bitching, shrinking, agonizing, reviving etc... Album of the week : SAM - Destruction Unit. Let's be honest, I didn't really like their first album. It was way too repetitive and not noisy enough for me... Problem solved ; Destrcution Unit is a killing machine. Formidable Teknoize album. You're going to love it as I play several tracks from it.

Album of the week : Prospero : Folie A Deux.
Another fabulous release from Artoffact. The Canadian label is on a roll releasing only high quality and varied music. Their recent releases are way above average and Prospero continues this tradition. In this album Prospero demonstrates more variety and maturity than in its previous opus. Here we get a bit of Trance, a bit of EBM, a bit of Noise, a bit of IDM and even some tribal and dubstep influences. Take all these ingredients and blend them and you get this crazy album.

XTREMIX : Horologium : Earthbound. At times quieter and at times angrier than usual Horologium releases, this time featuring lyrics and vocals by Troy Southgate. I think this is the 3rd official album of this band + plenty of collaborative works and EPs and it's also one of their best releases.

Album Of The Week : Stray : Abuse By Proxy. A magnificent piece of music from Unter Null's Erica Dunham in a side project that could seriously become the main project. I hear some Liquid Divine, some Headscan, some Kirlian Camera here, but with a very original and persona atmosphere and subtle vocals. I strongly recommend people buy it !!! Especially the limited edition because CD2 is absolutely essential.

Hello all,

SK was not dead, just dormant for the Kinetik festival, and boy was this ever a great moment. Seriously this is some of the best musical fun I've ever had in my life. Everything was perfect from on organizational point of view, and the crowd was absolutely awesome. I have some interviews which will be ready for diffusion next week (stay tuned for the Memmaker one, it's a bit insane).

Album of the week is actually album of the year in my idea... Ad.Ver.Sary : Bone Music. This album is a wonderful journey akin to the ones Iszoloscope offers, except maybe with an accentuation on poetry and melancholy. It's pretty energetic and reflexive at the same time. Bone Music is a deep experience, always floating between noise and IDM and skillfully taking the listener on a journey into the artists mind but you could also see it as an invitation to plunge into your own mind.

Only 2 weeks left before Kinetik kicks everybody's ass !!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight I'll be live mixing, I have been doing a lot of renos and I haven't had the chance to prepare and record mixes, but the ''live'' thing should be fun.

I do know one thing though... The album of the week is going to be Subheim : Approach. A magnificent album of cinematic IDM, which is becoming the trademark of the new Tympanik Audio label

In the Extremix tonight I have this year's strongest EP so far, for a change of pace... Orchestra Noir : The Affordable Holmes. A beautiful piece of music from Tony Wakeford and friends.
